Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán sends birthday greetings to Council President Nikolić

His Excellency Attila Pinter, Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Serbia, presented a congratulatory birthday message to President of the National Council for Coordination of Cooperation with the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China Tomislav Nikolić, on behalf of Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán. The message reads as follows:

Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán sends birthday greetings to Council President Nikolić

“Dear Mr. President,

I avail myself of this opportunity to congratulate you on your 70th birthday and to wish you every happiness from the bottom of my heart. I strongly believe that your presidency has ushered in a new chapter in the history of Serbia, steering it to the path of attaining full-fledged membership of the European Union. You may rest assured that my Government will continue to support, with all available resources, the efforts made by Serbia in the area of European integration, as it has done in the past.

The people of Hungary are deeply grateful to you for devoting special attention to the members of the Hungarian community living in Vojvodina and for the close collaboration with Hungary. I am very pleased that Hungary and Serbia held the first intergovernmental session in Belgrade in 2014, when we first opened the doors of the Collegium Hungaricum cultural centre and established a link between our two nations in the area of culture, too.

We will never forget, Mr. President, that you have advocated for our common future both in word and in deed. With the Lord’s blessing, may you live a long life!

May your coming years be filled with good health and joy.”
